All We've Got Is Time

Seth Godin's latest post regards the connection between trustworthiness/respect and time.

The post makes me glad I am so compulsive about being on time, because according to Seth Godin it will pay off. I hate waiting and I hate having people wait for me. I know it comes off as unprofessional and a tad rude. Have you ever gone to the Heath Center for an appointment and you are waiting there forever? How about showing up to a professor's office during office hours and they never show or show late? Time is wasted, and it leads directly to Seth Godin's next point.

"Cherish Time"
The reason why being told to expectantly wait is so irritating is because it's like you are being told that you aren't important. He or she can break the date because other things are more important.

Now, I'm not as egotistical to ignore that things happen, sometimes lateness is unavoidable. But you lose trust and respect with every late tick and tock of the clock.
