Me Want Big Pictures

I don't know about you, but ever new year I come back to school, I pressure myself to decorate my walls and make them look cool and self-reflecting. Last year I got a background from a Gap window dressing (huge, and free), but I'm not always that lucky. I usually avoid buying posters. They always seem so trite and aren't reflective enough. But enough about me and my need for about-me-mentality, that has nothing to do with design.

But, I've known about Rasterbator , a site that allows you to pick any image and blow it up to huge sizes. There is also block posters that allows similar results.

Here is an example of Rasterbator:

Rasterbator just makes the images in a series of large colored dots, from a distance, and depending on the images' original size, some photos come out more or less pixelated.

Block Poster example:

I'm not sure of the differences between the processes. Apparently block posters is less pixelated, even though I'm not sure how that's really possible.

The reason why I shared this is you might be looking to decorate a large area, and you can't find the poster you want, or you don't want to pay for the poster... Either way, waa-laa
